Editor version issue????
« on: October 29, 2013, 02:14:34 PM »
I am working on an old program of mine and updating it. When I bring up the code, I have no custom function numbers and cant edit the custom functions.

I suspect a version issue or overwrite/ save issue.

Ideas on how to resolve the issue?

Is your old program one with ".PC6" extension?  Was it previously protected with "View Protection" feature of i-TRiLOGI?

If it is a normal program it could be corrupted. What version of i-TRiLOGI are you using?

All program PC6
laptop I was troubleshooting with had both 5.72 and 6.43 versions
I am thinking I opened a 6.43 version with 5.72 and overwrote the file some how?
When I list the Custom functions list it is blank. The ladder listing shows the right function names but has no number and cant be selected in the ladder to edit.

TRiLOGI version 5 and version 6 files are not compatible. If you want to edit a .PC6 file in TL5, first use i-TRiLOGI version 6 to save the file with the extension .PC5. Then you can open the .PC5 file in TRiLOGI version 5.xx.

It does sound like you have a corrupted file.

There are several auto backup files in the same folder as the original .PC6 file called "backup001.pc6", "backup002.pc6" etc. Try to look for these files and open with TL6 and you should be able to recover most of the program.
