Data down load
« on: June 09, 2009, 02:46:40 PM »
Hi
Our company is looking at building another bitumen spray truck, the last one used two T100MD1616's with touch screen as control system. Spray run data was displayed on touch sreen at end of run an recorded manually by operator. This time  they require data down load via USB memory stick. Is there some way of doing this direct from plc or do we need to use suitable touch screen ?

Regards Pete

PS   Whens the new F series going to be availible for markets
       outside USA and Canada  ??

The current range of our PLCs do not support connection to a USB memory stick directly (there is no USB port). However, if you have a PC nearby you could connect the PLC to the PC via RS232 or RS485 port and the PLC can open a file on the PC to save all the data onto the PC hard drive. (The TLServer needs to be running on the PC for this to happen).  Once the data has been recorded on the PC you can move them to a USB stick anytime readily.

If you connect the PLC to the Ethernet network (via XServer for M-series, directly for F-series) then you can save the data to any PC anywhere on the network (including remote location via Internet).

F-series PLCs will be available for international shipment from August 2009.
