RS485 Communication
« on: November 25, 2004, 11:33:09 AM »
Hello

I am using a T100MD-888+ to write in a Append File.
I have a custom function that is triggered whit a input.

Well ... everything works fine when i use the RS232 port.
When i use the RS485 port , with the Tri-Logic RS232-RS485 converter,
nothing happens in the File Service that i want to write to.
Is it to be like this or am i doing something wrong ?
   Any help would be good
   Thanks

Did you change the command to PRINT #3 in order to use the RS485 port?

Also test that the Auto485 is setup to work properly by going on line monitoring using TRiLOGI to connect to the PLC's RS485 port. The Auto485 require power for it to  work.

Once you are able to perform online monitoring via Auto485 connected to the PLC's COMM3 port, reset the PLC by turn off the power and on again. Now you can activate the input so that the PLC execute commands PRINT #3 to append to the file. It should work.
