Read current STEPSPEED
« on: June 15, 2015, 04:07:19 PM »
I'm using a Fx2424 on a new machine.

I have an application where I would like to know the current STEPSPEED without having to resort to using hardwiring of step line into the HSC1 to do a FREQUENCY command.

The issue only will arise if I have to scale axis 1 to axis 2 while in the acceleration or deceleration ramp (follower).

I thought perhaps a register could be accessed to give current speed in SPS.

Thanks.

Unfortunately the registers that contain the current speed data is not accessible from TBASIC. It won't be very useful typically during acceleration and deceleration phase since the data changes at every new step and the changes probably occur well ahead of what the TBASIC statement could read it (even if it is made available to TBASIC).
