Direct LAN connect with FMD88
« on: August 25, 2012, 11:47:08 AM »
 Hi,
??? I am trying connect my pc to FMD88-10 using LAN cable connection directly.
Web server indicates (Internet TriLOG Sever) IP Address : 10.1.3:9080
Where my pc connected to WIFI and LAN port connected to FMD.
While used "F-Series & Nano PLC Ethernet Configuration" Software, my FMD board IP is 192.168.1.5 , Gateway IP : 192.168.1.1
 Port #9080.

My TCP/IP for LAN (Lap top) is set to "obtain an IP address automatically".

LAN couldn't establish connection with FMD. I did try out all possibility and still couldn't.

I did disable Anti-Virus, FireWall and Interent, still unable to connect.

After getting advice from senior online forums member, i do put a hub between pc and FMD for communication.
My pc ip (obtain automatically) : 192.168.1.100
My Baord ip : 192.168.1.5
Port #9080
Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Gateway IP 192.168.1.1

Do manage to login with server by using pc ip and which appears in "TRiLOGI Server"(192.168.1.100). Do manage to "Open(TLServer 3)" file but unable to transfer program  to PLC.
Error message as follow:-

PLC responds incorrectly to Hostlink commands
1. Check if TLServer's com port is working
2. Pause the PLC if it sends data out of com port

My i-TRiLoGI version 6.43
My Internet TRiLOGI Server version 3.16D
Please do advice. Thank you

Please refer to Section 2.7 of the Nano-10 PLC User's Manual

2.7 Accessing The PLC from Internet

which describe how to setup your PLC to be accessible from the Internet.

WAN port: Begin = 9080. End  = 9080
LAN port: Begin = 9080. End = 9080

Server IP will be the private IP address (e.g. 192.168.1.5) of your PLC.

Once the port forwarding is properly setup this way, you need to access your PLC using the router's PUBLIC IP address but with the port no. = 9080 and it will be forwarded to the PLC at 192.168.1.5

If you want more than one PLC to be accessed from the Internet, then use a different public WAN port for each PLC. The private LAN port may be the same as the public WAN port or it can be different (e.g. all PLC can be same private LAN port = 9080 but you use a different WAN port for each PLC).

;D,  8), Successfully achieved. Last but not least. i didn't get it on

"If you want more than one PLC to be accessed from the Internet, then use a different public WAN port for each PLC. The private LAN port may be the same as the public WAN port or it can be different (e.g. all PLC can be same private LAN port = 9080 but you use a different WAN port for each PLC)."

Let say i do have four PLC's to be controlled from internet. The board ip might be different or not but the port will be same if do follow default setting. From your statement, i do have change accordingly example:-
FMD no1 - port 9080
FMD no1 - port 9081
FMD no1 - port 9082
FMD no1 - port 9083

In my modem on forwarding site i will set:-
WAN            LAN
Begin   End    Begin    End
9080    9083  9080     9080

Do i get correctly. Cheers

Just one F-server port is supported on a single PLC.
