Can bus

We have used the tri for diesel engine control and monitoring successfully. It is becoming more common for engines to have electronic control systems requiring communication via can bus.
Is it possible to use the Tri, has anybody had any experiece using the tri ?

You may be able to google for some kind of CAN to RS232 protocol converters that is specific to your industry. See if the following is suitable:

Currently none of the PLCs has built-in CAN bus support. The F-series PLCs may have CAN bus hardware in the CPU but the CAN bus communication is not yet supported by TBASIC at the moment, as the engineering is still evaluating the most useful protocol to implement. CANopen could be a likely candidate although we are still interested to find out from our users what kind of CAN bus protocol they desire most. What will be the CAN bus protocol commonly used in your industry?
