Trilogi 6.22 I/O Labels
« on: February 09, 2009, 03:57:47 AM »
I upgrade to Trilogi 6.22.
When I open the I/O Labels window (F2). The relay table labels are not shown, everythink is black.

How can that be fix?
Philip.

Did you try other files or is this for a particular file? Try opening sample programs in the "sample folders" and see if you see their table. Make sure you do not save over the existing file.

Can you start the program using the TL6.bat file? That will open up the console and report any errors. It could be that something in the file that you tried to load has caused an exception and therefore the loading was incomplete and the I/O table may not have been loaded. If that is the case please send your file to support@tri-plc.com for us to investigate.

I did open a sample file (One shot.PC6) with TL6.bat.
C:\TRILOGI\TL6>REM load demo program
C:\TRILOGI\TL6>java -jar TL6s.jar
string counts = 446
Installation Directory = C:\TRILOGI\TL6\
Starting up.

Even with the sample file, the relay table is black.

Do you mean Blank or "Black" (as in black color background?). The Demo.pc5 program has 1 relay called "Run" which is at Relay #1. We have no problem opening any file with predefined relays.

What is your O/S version and what is your JRE version? do you mean that if you open the same file using TL61.jar you will see the relays?

Can you capture a screenshot and email to support@tri-plc.com?

Look that it is a conflict with the JRE 6_11. I uninstall JRE6 rev11 and now it is working OK (showing the IO Tables).

Thank you for letting us know. What JRE version are you using now? Is it 1.4.2?

Vista 32 bit
JRE 1.6.0_07

the JRE 1.6.0.11 is the one that I had to uninstall, some conflict with it.

Thanks. This is very strange. My computer running Vista home is installed with JRE 1.6.0_11 but we have so far never encountered the same problem you saw. It could be a glitch in your earlier JRE 1.6.0_11 installation. But I am glad that 1.6.0_07 works out well for you. Perhaps when Sun have future upgrade (_12) you can try again to see if the problem is still happening.

Earlier JRE 1.6.0 (the one I tested earlier was _04) has a bug which was that it took a long long time for the Open File dialog box to appear (could be 10 seconds or more after you click on the File->Open  (Local Drive)). This was resolved by Sun microsystem later. Hopefully the _07 you are using does not have the same issue.

Hi all,

Beside Java 1.4.2, is it any higher version of Java is known as stable and no problem with Trilogi?

Thanks.

I'm using Java Version 6 Update 15 (1.6.0_15-b03) on 32 Bit Vista.

I'm using TriLOGI Version 6.24 Build 03.

The combination works for me.

One other issue has to do with video display drivers.  I recently replaced my video card, and found that the new card with the most recent drivers fixed a small display issue with the "Internet TRiLOGI Server".

Good luck.

There is a FAQ thread discussing the display adapter problem with JRE 1.62. We found out that it has something to do with the DirectX driver:

http://www.tri-plc.com/yabbse/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=1459

So JRE 1.6 may yet work for most people and for some there may be a display issue. If this happens to you, try to do something to the DirectX driver (if installed) to see if the problem can be fixed.
