Xserver comm with SCADA
« on: November 07, 2008, 05:54:57 AM »
I want to interface DAQFactory SCADA software to a T100 MD using the Xserver I can do it with serial using the MODBUS RTU protocols with no problem and I can use the XHMI1.htm application with the XSERVER with no problems but when I try to use the SCADA though the Xserver I get no response.

The XServer only support the T100MD+ native protocol and does not support the MODBUS protocol.

DAQFactory SCADA supports the MODBUS RTU for direct connection to the PLC via the MODBUS. But it does not support the communication with the PLC via native protocol through a XServer login sequence hence this cannot be used. DAQFactory would need a driver to talk to the PLC through the XServer but I don't think they have developed one yet.
