Java update and version

I understand you are using an old version of Java SE, no later than 1.5 I believe. Since it is unlikely you will update to the current version anytime soon, is there a way to stop the prompt to udate the software?

Go to Control Panel and look for Java Plug-in. Open it up and the click on the "Update" and uncheck the "Check for Updates Automatically" check box and it shouldn't bother you again.

As I know Java Run-Time Engine version 1.5 was not suitable for Trilogi program. Then how about Java Run-Time Engine version 1.6, could it be suitable to update?
