setbaud
« on: May 11, 2004, 05:01:49 PM »
I am using a Maple systems 520HMI connected to the rs485 port,COM3  on a t100MD. I would like to boost the baud rate to 115200 on com3 . I tried
"SETBAUD 3,68". According to the users manual this sets com 3 to 100K ,8,1,0. This doesnt work. Is 100k the same as 115200? any help would be greatly appreciated.

                                                       Thanks

Sorry, the M-series PLC is unable to generate serial port baud rate at 115200 (which is popular because it is available on PC). It will not work at 100K baud rate since the bit time error is too large. The maximum compatible baud rate is 38,400 bps.
