W7 x64 download problems
« on: March 11, 2011, 11:56:32 AM »
Hi,

I was trying to download the nano ethernet sample program on my W7 x 64 PC (tri 6.4).  half way during the download the transfer would fail (freeze).  swapped over to my XP machine V6.3 and all was ok.

Not sure if you have seen this but thought I would let you know... if you need any further testing please let me know.

Cheers

Are you transferring the program to Nano-10 via Ethernet or via TLServer + USB-RS485 adapter?  If it is through USB-RS485 adapter maybe the driver needs updating?

HI,

Sorry, it was via the ethernet.  interested in the U485 drivers as well, is there a link on your site?

Cheers

That is strange. It should not make a difference if communication is via the Ethernet. We have Windows 7 PC used in connecting to the PLC without any issue.

Is the Nano-10 connected to a router and is the W7 PC connected to the router via Wi-Fi or Ethernet? Or did you connect the Ethernet cable directly between the PC and the Nano-10?

As for the U-485 driver, if you are able to communicate via RS485 without issue then no upgrade is required.
