Hi,

This may seem like a strange question but here goes. I was wondering what the effect of having a 24V signal going into the PLCs digital outputs when the PLC (will that damage it???). Thanks.

It is indeed a strange operating condition. The PLC is not designed to have its output subject to high voltage when there is no power supply.  However, so far we have never received any reports from anybody that doing so would damage the output driver, but we can't guarantee that and we can only say that it is not recommended.
