Technical support / Baud rate setting via dig inputs
« on: October 27, 2009, 07:16:45 PM »
In theory could I used the first scan function to read the state of a digital input and have the software set the baud rate accordingly???  PLC is F-series

IE

DIG 1 true would set baud to 9600

DIG 1 false would set baud to 19200

???

Many thanks

Daniel

Technical support / E10+ npn which trilogi required??
« on: July 28, 2008, 07:51:02 PM »
Dear Sir

I have previously only worked with your T100MD plc for which I use Trilogi 5.3.

Can you tell me if 5.3 will work on my new E10+ npn or do i need Trilogi 3.5 ???

Many thanks

Daniel

Technical support / 8 VOLT PWM SIGNAL
« on: May 07, 2007, 09:03:18 PM »
Hi

Can the T100MX ( opto inputs ) handle a 8 Volt PWM signal at 500 hz.      Is the 8 volt enought to trigger the input??

Thankyou

Technical support / PWM measuring accuracy
« on: March 26, 2007, 10:02:43 PM »
If I have a PWM input at 500hz into one of the HSC inputs, what sort of accuracy will I get in measuring the Duty cycle?

Many Thanks

Technical support / HIGH SPEED COUNTER INPUTS
« on: January 25, 2007, 04:11:30 AM »
I note that when the dual quadrature inputs are used, there are effectivly using 4 HSC inputs.  With this in mind is there anyway to use all 4 inputs for the purpose of Pulse Width Measurment??

Cheers

Technical support / HIGH SPEED COUNTER LIMITS
« on: January 08, 2007, 02:50:19 AM »
Hi

Is the 4khz limit on the MX series purely due to the opto-isolated inputs or is there some other reason??

Cheers

Technical support / RS-485 driver IC change
« on: August 08, 2006, 12:31:53 AM »
I remember reading somewhere the coms driver IC could be changed to provide better protection from network faults.  Could you tell me where I caould find this information?

Thanks again

Technical support / 0-5v used with upscale thermocouple burnout
« on: August 07, 2006, 12:03:22 AM »
I use a type of signal conditioning unit for thermocouples and RTDS that provides an upscale output in case of sensor burnout.  As the burnout signal output is above 5v.  I pressume the ADC will only return 1024 anyway?  Will this 5 volt plus voltage damage the ADC?

T100MD888 used in this application

Thanks

Technical support / T100MD+ as tacho/pulsefrequency
« on: August 01, 2006, 07:32:32 PM »
I am trying to configure my T100MD+888 to take an input from a hall effect sensor providing a square wave output.

The first line of my program has the " first scan" bit and then a fuction box where " PMON 3" is written.

The second line has the "clock 0.05s" bit and then function box where "DM[1] = PULSEFREQUENCY (3)" is written

When I write to the PLC and test the DM[1] value is always at zero, i have a few different inputs ie dig in 3 pulsed straight to ground instead of using the sensor, but nothing works

I am pressuming I am not programming it correctly.

Can anyone suggest anything?

Thanks

Technical support / ANALOG OUTPUTS RISING TO 4096 N/C
« on: July 30, 2006, 11:45:27 PM »
When I activate the ADC command and the 0-5v sensors are not connected the value slowly rises to 4096, i e 5 volts.  If a wire to a sensor should break the same will occur? As these sensors can trigger a shutdown alarm when a preset value is met, if a wire breaks then the value will rise and meet the setpoint and cause a shutdown.

How can I avoid this??
