You can read the data from the CANBUS on a car!

There is a download VAG-COM that is the software but you need to make an adapter from the car connection to the PC.  Very possible, I have an Audi and made a cable to suit( Which includes a few IC's!) then obtained the software and reprogrammed various stuff on my car.  Very cool and also very dangerous!

But, yes possible...

Well, most PLC's available today have real time clocks built in so then you can set a bit when you want the event to occur.

Technical support / Re:Controlling Solid State Relays (110vac Load)

Using a standard output port will only give you a ON/OFF!  What you could use is a Proportional SSR which uses an analogue input for 0-100% of power out.  I use these often and work great!

Hope that helps!

You can certainly do this on a TRI plc, infact ANY plc can do what you need.  If you want, I can send you a standard Traffic Light PLC program  (In Ladder or STL if you preffer) then you can have some idea on how the programming works...

What information do you need???

Please let me know of what the process is and how you want to implicate the PLC.

If you have sensors etc.  NPN/ PNP, what do you need to sense??

Cheers,

Brett

Opinions & Feedback / Re:Product suggestion

I can agree with what both of you say, but come on guys, the package that you get compared to the prices of others is fantastic!

A few cents for better connectors accross the product line ammounts to less savings for all!

You got it right the first time by using ALL I/O to terminals for expansion later. This is the normal in any build anyway done properly!!! :)
