Hello,
I started experimenting with the newly arrived Nano, E10 and the old T100MD+
I set up the RS485 network with all three. Used U485 to connect to PC.
Using U485 configured Nano to address 00
Using Serial cable, configured T100MD+ to address 02
Address of E10 left it unchanged at 01
When I checked one by one, E10 was not responding to the @01RI00* command. Others were responding (to @00RI00* and @02RI00* respectively).
Then I realized I had not changed the jumper. Changed it to RS485 position. Still no response.
Checked connections. All OK ( D+ to pin 5 and D- to pin 2).
Then I switched back to testing directly with serial port. Again no response. Then I realized I had not reverted the jumper setting to RS232 position. Changed it. Still no response.
E10 is functionally ok. It is running its sequencer program which I loaded earlier through RS232. Problem is only with communication.
As narrated above, the only sin I seem to have committed is to try RS485 communication with jumper in RS232 setting and once again trying RS232 communication with jumper in RS485 position.
Could this possibly damage the COM Port?
If so, what is the remedy?
What else could be wrong?
