Technical support / Baud rate setting via dig inputs
« on: October 27, 2009, 07:16:45 PM »
In theory could I used the first scan function to read the state of a digital input and have the software set the baud rate accordingly???  PLC is F-series

IE

DIG 1 true would set baud to 9600

DIG 1 false would set baud to 19200

???

Many thanks

Daniel

Hi There

J1939 over can 2.0 would be nice for machinery interface. :)

Thats my thoughts

Technical support / E10+ npn which trilogi required??
« on: July 28, 2008, 07:51:02 PM »
Dear Sir

I have previously only worked with your T100MD plc for which I use Trilogi 5.3.

Can you tell me if 5.3 will work on my new E10+ npn or do i need Trilogi 3.5 ???

Many thanks

Daniel

Technical support / 8 VOLT PWM SIGNAL
« on: May 07, 2007, 09:03:18 PM »
Hi

Can the T100MX ( opto inputs ) handle a 8 Volt PWM signal at 500 hz.      Is the 8 volt enought to trigger the input??

Thankyou

Technical support / PWM measuring accuracy

If I have a PWM input at 500hz into one of the HSC inputs, what sort of accuracy will I get in measuring the Duty cycle?

Many Thanks

Technical support / HIGH SPEED COUNTER INPUTS
« on: January 25, 2007, 04:11:30 AM »
I note that when the dual quadrature inputs are used, there are effectivly using 4 HSC inputs.  With this in mind is there anyway to use all 4 inputs for the purpose of Pulse Width Measurment??

Technical support / Re:HIGH SPEED COUNTER LIMITS
« on: January 08, 2007, 10:53:58 PM »
Would it be possible to replace the optoisolator with one that has a faster response time, I need all the functions of a T100MX-3224R .  But I need to have a high speed counter to measure frequancy up to about 8Khz.

I would require multiple units with such capabilitys, could I get the factory modified or would I have to modify them myself?

Cheers

Technical support / HIGH SPEED COUNTER LIMITS

Hi

Is the 4khz limit on the MX series purely due to the opto-isolated inputs or is there some other reason??

Thanks for that

I am sure I read that a substitute ic driver is available to do the protection internally.   Perhaps I am thinking of another manufacturers PLC.

I remember reading somewhere the coms driver IC could be changed to provide better protection from network faults.  Could you tell me where I caould find this information?

Thanks again

Technical support / Re:0-5v used with upscale thermocouple burnout
« on: August 07, 2006, 06:35:47 PM »
Thanks for that.   I believe the upscale voltage is around 5.3-5.5 volts.
It probably wont be much help anyway as anything over 5volts will show as 4096???

Cheers

Technical support / 0-5v used with upscale thermocouple burnout
« on: August 07, 2006, 12:03:22 AM »
I use a type of signal conditioning unit for thermocouples and RTDS that provides an upscale output in case of sensor burnout.  As the burnout signal output is above 5v.  I pressume the ADC will only return 1024 anyway?  Will this 5 volt plus voltage damage the ADC?

T100MD888 used in this application

Thanks
