Technical support / Data down load
« on: June 09, 2009, 02:46:40 PM »
Hi
Our company is looking at building another bitumen spray truck, the last one used two T100MD1616's with touch screen as control system. Spray run data was displayed on touch sreen at end of run an recorded manually by operator. This time  they require data down load via USB memory stick. Is there some way of doing this direct from plc or do we need to use suitable touch screen ?

Regards Pete

PS   Whens the new F series going to be availible for markets
       outside USA and Canada  ??

Technical support / mouse wheel control
« on: November 30, 2008, 12:27:41 AM »
Hi

Has any one had any success in using the ardamax mouse wheel control program. If so what was necessary to get it up and running. I have tried to get the trial program to running but no luck so any thoughts would be appreciated. That side bar control is not one of trilogi's better features    :P

Technical support / PNP proximity sensor
« on: November 14, 2008, 11:52:02 PM »
Hi

Has anybody used  PNP  type proximity sensors to switch a T100MD input and if so what issues did you have ? also what value resistor did you use to hold the input low ? Normally I use NPN type but in this case the machine already has PNP type fitted , cost to change is a problem.

  ::)

Thanks for your time

Technical support / PID value
« on: August 22, 2008, 03:09:42 AM »
Hi

Starting a new project in which I need to use the PID function in the T100MD  888
What I would like to do is use the T100MD as an variable engine speed governor utilizing the 0-5vSetDAC o/p and monitoring drive shaft speed for feed back  keeping within  120  (700rpm)  to 230   (1250rpm)   Hz limits  The operator will vary speed  with increase and decrease speed switches
I assume result of these custom functions  ( Stored DM[11] ) will become the Set Point value.
What I'm not sure about is how to work out what values to use in the PID compute function.

Any help appreciated
Pete

Technical support / cf label

Hi

In one of my programs a  custom function label  is highlighted in green What would I have done to cause this and is it bad.

Is a new version of the T100MD planned , and if so is it likely to be Canbus compatible

Technical support / mdtest program
« on: December 18, 2007, 10:50:39 PM »
Hi all
Two questions

1. Where are the instuction for operating the mdtest program? after installing into a T100MD1616 all it seemed to do was operate the outputs, is there more it will do ?

2. How static sensitive is the TPIC6A595NE ic ? Is touching the pins liable to damage it ? I beleive this can be an issue when handling cmos devices.

Technical support / PLC freezes temporarily
« on: December 09, 2007, 09:45:48 PM »
Hi to all

Im having a problem with a control system we built for a bitumen sprayer. The trouble is that the system will freeze occasionally for about 0.5 to 1 second causing chaos on the spray run. The system uses two T100MDs connected in master/slave configuration via the RS485 connection. Both PLCs are fitted with  MX-RTC battery/data modules. The  Slave unit monitors bitumen pump speed and switches 10 selectable spray nozzles.  Master unit monitors ground speed, touch screen, and control switches, it also controls bitumen pump speed. It appears that some conflict is taking up all the master units time, when the fault occurs the numbers on the touch screen  also freeze. Both PLCs have  been replaced, but fault still happens. Could the MX-RTC module possibly cause this by being faulty or data storage full ?

Thanks for your time

Technical support / Oops
« on: May 01, 2006, 02:35:25 AM »
Recently installed T100md888 in mercedes truck to interface a radio remote control with the electronic engine management system, was working fine until the owner disconnected to batteries with the plc still powered up, suspect some arcing took place as now plc doesn't work. Now for some reason  when I try communicate with the plc it ask's for a password and gives the id as  " BF " . As a password was not origionaly required, any ideas on how to by pass the password thing or do you think a new 888 is needed ?
