Title: T100MD 1616
Post by: Sonny on July 21, 2005, 08:14:37 AM
Hello,

i've bought a T100MD+ 1616, and i'm trying to use the analog output.  I wrote the following instruction:

SETDAC 1, 4080

I even tried it with 2048, but I don't read any voltage coming off the DAC, no matter what direction I turn the potentiometer in.  This instruction worked on the T100MD 888+, so I'm wondering if someone knows why it doesn't work.

BTW, I have it hooked up to an oscilloscope, and I'm pretty sure I hooked it up fine since it reads 24V coming off of a low-logic digital output.

Thanks.

Did you connect the analog power supply to the T100MD1616+? Unlike the T100MD888+ or T100MD2424+ the T100MD1616+ has a seperate analog power supply  terminal. You could use a different power supply from the PLC or you could use the same 24V power supply to the PLC but either way you need to connect the power supply to these two screw terminal which is located along the left edge of the PCB and below the 6 way terminal  (DAC, ADC1-4 and +5V).
