Title: Modem Cable (9pin to 25 pin)
Post by: DYL on February 07, 2005, 01:57:00 PM
I am trying to use modems to remote monitor the PLC.
The cable connecting the PLC and the modem seems to be special as shown below.
9 pin        25 pin
2              2
3              3
4              6 and 20
5              7
                4 and 5 connected together

Anybody knows where we can buy this kind of cable with the above pin connection?

Thanks.

That would be a DB-9 Female to DB-25 Male Null Modem / Serial Printer Cable.

Ebay for $1.50 USD

or

http://www.stayonline.com/null_modem_cables/index.asp\ (http://www.stayonline.com/null_modem_cables/index.asp\)
the last one on the page for $9.00 USD
