Title: I/O numbering question
Post by: PLCstar on March 19, 2004, 10:16:38 PM
I finally have a job where I can use one of your plcs. Been wanting to use one for more then an year now.

Anyway I have the MD888 plc and a 16r expander.

I thought the IO on the expander would start at number 9, but it starts at 17. I would expect that if I used the MD16 product.

Am I missing a jumper or something to make my IO numbering follow the MD888, or am I stuck with a hole from 9-16?

I am also going to add the HMI to the end of the expansion board, what numbers can I expect for those buttons?

Here's the story:

First there was only T100MD1616 and we introduce an expansion board whose I/O starts from 17 onwards and cascadable.

Then we added a T100MD888+ and decided that the EXP should still start from 17 onward to standardize the legends of the expansion board. So dummy inputs and outputs 9-16 was added to MD888+ in order that the EXP I/O labels need not be changed.

Then came T100MD2424+... Well. now we have to let the expansion board starts from 25 onwards.

So with the T100MD888+ and a EXP1616R your MD-HMI should start from I/O number 33 onwards.
