Title: FMD88-10 HSC
Post by: cch1955 on December 23, 2015, 04:21:23 PM
I need to use the HSC to count a single channel square wave input without a second input in quadrature. The frequency of the count is 2000Hz maximum.

How can this be done. I willing to give up the phase B input line.

How can this be done?

Just define a HSCDEF channel and by default the channel will count up if phase B is held at OFF.

E.g. for FMD88-10, input #3 and #4 forms a quadrature channel. By default without forcing into enhanced quadrature, the HSC will count up when input #4 is OFF and pulses coming into input #3.

Alternatively, if input #3 is held at OFF and pulses come into input  #4 then HSCPV will decrement.

Good to know this for single channel HSC needs, thanks.
