Title: H-Series Output Source Clarification
Post by: abello87 on September 06, 2010, 10:10:14 PM
Hello All,

I'm new to PLC control and building my first machine using a PLC. I just purchased a T28H-Relay and while looking at the manual I see it says "Voltage Source 0-250V (DC/AC)." Does that mean for example I can have a solenoid output operate at 12VDC and another operate at 30VDC?

Thanks

yes, the 12 relays on the T28H-Relay are all independent dry contacts so they can be used to control different power sources.

Thanks. Does this mean I need to provide an external 12V Power source and an external 30V power source for these outputs?

You need to provide 12V power source for the PLC. Any other voltages has to be provided for your load to pass through the relays contacts. These other voltages are isolated from the PLC.
