Rumor has it that floating point math will be available for the MD series soon. Is it something that will be built into a newer version of TRI logic? Will there be any additional cost to make those of us who have older equipment / software? Just curious.

Not really. There are limited ROM space in the current MD CPU to fit the whole floating point library. The design engineers are still tinkering and see if it can be done. If it cannot be done then floating point will only be made available in the next generation of PLC, perhaps another family.
