Post by: P3000 on July 08, 2002, 01:55:31 PM
IS POSSIBLE PROGRAM THE LCD-420 TO HAVE SOME SPECIAL EFFECTS LIKE WORDS MOVING OR WORDS FLASHING?

IF THAT IS POSSIBLE, WHERE CAN I FIND ALL THE CODES FOR EVERY SPECIAL EFFECT.

Sorry, that is not possible because the LCD420 module does not support that kind of special effect.

I checked that address, but it is difficult to me understand all that page. Don't you have some example where you program a LCD 420?

The thing is that to achieve such effect you have to have a full understanding of how to control  CGRAM in a Hitachi HD44780. You can use the SETLCD 0,0, n to send special codes to the CGRAM to achieve those actions, but it does take a lot of codings and execution time to achieve these effects.
