Title: how to check cable
Post by: ashish on November 07, 2008, 09:54:03 PM
i am using E10 relay PLC for a small application.

I have got a programming cable for E10 PLC which i am using from last 1 year.

But now, i could not communicate with PLC using that cable.

I could not transfer the program nor i can detect the PLC.

I am not sure weather cable is damaged or what.

How to check / test the cable, weather it is ok or not OK. I checked out on 2

different PLCs but it doesent work.

I do not have any more PLC with me to ckeck up.

You can find a standard DB9 cable used by PC to communicate with the PLC. The signal are straight through. You can also make your own cable 2-2, 3-3,4-4,5-5. If the PC cable works that means your cable is probably broken internally.
