Technical support / stepmove drifting?
« on: November 21, 2005, 08:50:20 PM »
Hi,

I have two problems.

1. I'm working on a program that looks like will be more than 6016. I know about M2018P. My question is if I need more than 8290 there is a solution available ?

2. Using step and direction I'm driving a servo. To keep track of positions and for comunications I use variables and DMs
If I issue a StepMove 1,R,50 and R ends up to be zero (R=DM[]-actual position) the PLC is issuing steps with a very slow speed.
I tested this on a very simple program (one circuit only) with the same result.

Please let me know

Hi,

I have several variables (about 100 ) that are more the 16bit long.
What will be the easy way to use two DM[] to store 1 variable.

Any other sugestion?

Thanks

Technical support / stepper pulse output
« on: September 01, 2005, 10:22:37 AM »
Hi,

I would like to use a T100 to controll a 3 axis system.

There is any way I can add one more channell to have 3 pulse outputs? (I believe that except the higher output that I don't need is just a function that makes theese two channels so different)

I will never use all 3 in the same time (maybe two) but I need to get back a "move done" in corelation with the relay from the StepMove cmd.

I'm open to any other sugestions

Technical support / PWM
« on: August 26, 2005, 12:04:23 PM »
Hi,

I have some questions
1. There is any way that 20000pps can be increase?
2. Do you have any plans to incresed this no and when?
3. In the same program I will have different segments that in sometimes required only one chanell and I plan to use 20000Hz (more will be nicer) and in other sections I will need use 2 channels.
I just want to make sure that using two chanells for some segments will not limit all the sections to 10000pps.

Thank you,

Dan

Technical support / custom protocol
« on: August 18, 2005, 08:16:43 AM »
Hi,
I have a custom slave device that I would like to controll using PLC's COMM1.
A small software that allows me to test the slave from a PC. works perfec.

If I send the same command with the PLC ( ie.  Outcomm 1,&H55 )I can see this being received by PC.
In the same time same command is not received by the slave.

So the slave works with the PC, the PLC works with a PC but they are not working between them.
The slave receives the signal thru a Max232.
Any sugestions?. I run out of ideeas

Technical support / PC as HI
« on: May 10, 2005, 07:24:32 AM »
Hi,

I'm working on a project where I need to have several screens(pages) to control and/or monitor.
Due to the requirements looks like will be a good alternative to use a PC as a humman interface.

1. Beside Java, there is other method to do this?
2. Do you have an sample program?

Thank you,

Dan

Technical support / NMC protocol
« on: February 20, 2005, 02:14:48 PM »
Hi,

I'm planning to use T100MD to controll some slave devices using RS485.
Slaves are only capable to use Networked Modular Control protocol.
There is a NMC protocol implemented?
If not can I use Setprotocol ch,10 to create a protocol?
Do you have an example how to develop a protocol (NMC)?

Problem is that I have no experience in this so I realy need help

Thank you,

Dan

Hi,

Looks like I need to mount the MD-HMI about 12 feet from the PLC
What is the maximum distance, and what problems may rise ?

Technical support / CPU status indicator
« on: September 27, 2004, 11:45:02 AM »
HI,

I just power up a TM2424.
The CPU status indicators LEDs are off all the time.

From what I know they are suppose to go on during the power up and during the transfer of the program

I'm missing something or there is a problem with this unit ?
