Technical support / FP4030MR Communication Problem
« on: January 15, 2016, 07:14:39 AM »
I am trying to use the FP4030MR HMI with a NANO and a I-7017 analog input module but I am having problems.

   1. The FP4030MR only communications with the NANO sporadically.
   2. The NANO has problems communicating with the I-7017 module when the NANO tries to communicate with the I-7017 it will receive the command strings from the FP4030MR and the I-7017.

I have each unit set to a different address and I have even tried to use MODBUS protocols in the FP4030 but it does the same thing.

I am using the NETCMD to communicate with the I-7017.

Technical support / Re:iTRiLOGI 6.50 build 09, 7.10 build09

I am running Windows 7 professional 64bit. I tried reinstalling 1.7 but it still does not work. I uninstalled iTRilogi and then reinstalled but that did not work either. I was running the beta version.

iTRiLOGI 6.50 build 09 was work last week on Java 1.7 I upgraded to Java 1.8 today and now the simulation will not work for either 6.50 or 7.10 even when I use a sample program. The simulator open normally up it will not run and then when it is closed it will restart but it will then lot up the iTRiLOGI to the point that I have to use Task Manager to close.

Technical support / Moving Average Function
« on: June 21, 2011, 08:56:31 AM »
I see that a moving average function has been added to the ADC commands but the mannual for both my F2424 and FDMD88-10 say to go to section 5.4.5 to see how to use but there is no section 5.4.5. How do I use this new feature. I have had to program this  manually with the old MD888.

Technical support / Re:RMS Calculation
« on: April 27, 2010, 01:44:09 PM »
I am using the MD888 to control the output by varying the duty cycle. I am monitouring the voltage and the current (using a 5A @ 100mV shunt) to maintain a constant current output but also to make sure that the voltage does not exceed a set limit.

I am using the MD888 as a controller for a PWM power supply with voltage, current and feedback from a sensor to control the output.
1. Frequencey is 63 Hz
2. Square Wave
3. DC Output.

I need to do the RMS calculation on the ADC inputs but I can not figure out the best way to calculate a square root.

Technical support / Xserver comm with SCADA
« on: November 07, 2008, 05:54:57 AM »
I want to interface DAQFactory SCADA software to a T100 MD using the Xserver I can do it with serial using the MODBUS RTU protocols with no problem and I can use the XHMI1.htm application with the XSERVER with no problems but when I try to use the SCADA though the Xserver I get no response.

Technical support / Master Reset of Slave PLC
« on: August 20, 2008, 07:32:11 AM »
I am using an MD2424 as a master controller and using it to set  and read varibles in eight MD888, using the hostlink commands with a RS485 loop and then they control the processes. But I have run in to a porblem were on of the slave MD888 will get bad data loaded into a varible which causes it's program to pause because of a data out of range alarm, if I reset the unit it starts to run again. Is there a command that the Master controller can send to the slave to cause a Master Reset in the slave unit when it can not communicate with the slave unit.

Technical support / PLC Password Error
« on: August 12, 2008, 07:26:25 AM »
I am getting a Request for Password from the MD888 PLC even though I have not set the PLC option and it is giving me a Checksum error and request that I reload the software but I can not because it is request a password first. I have had this come up with this sotfwar a couple of other times but I was able to reset and the problem went away but that did not work this time.

Technical support / PLC Address programming
« on: March 09, 2008, 01:27:51 PM »
??? My application will be using multiple MD888 as slaves and then one as a master, to make maintance easier I would like to set the PLC address by using DIP switches. Can this be done.
