Technical support / On Line Monitoring
« on: May 16, 2011, 05:15:19 PM »
Hello
I have a Nano 10 timer project which has been sitting idle, ie disconnected. I just hooked it up tonight and discovered that when I launch the online monitoring from TRiLOGI Version 6.30 build 02 the output and input columns show nothing and are just blank. Sometimes the whole online monitor window is garbled. Every works great except the online monitoring as I mentioned. I am running sp 3 on XP. Please advise.

Technical support / Dead RS485 Nano Display
« on: March 03, 2011, 12:12:11 PM »
I have a nano 10 with the rs485 display and due to the use of two voltages 24vdc and 60vdc in the circuit (motor supply and plc supply) and a disconnect switch in the negative common lead I some how managed to cause the display to stop reading when I opened the disconnect possibly back feeding voltage to the display. The PLC is still functioning okay. I changed  out the rs 485 ICs hvd3082 8 pin dips in the controller and in the display but to no avail. Any suggestions ?

Technical support / Nano 10
« on: March 31, 2010, 10:08:17 PM »
Just got my Nano 10 today. I am communicating with it via a rj45 crossover cable through i-trilog 6.31 running on a laptop.  After I load the relay.pc6 program, I am unable to set the time from the pc. Also the columns on online monitoring show the correct headings of inputs, timers, counters, relays and outputs but the items below are unreadable.

Technical support / File Read Problem Blues
« on: February 07, 2010, 12:15:12 PM »
What is written below is a dcusF triggered every 60 secs and where i=-1 ( by  assumption) means the tlserver is not busy  i.e. I am not doing  any online monitoring . The sq.txt file in in the fileservice directory  and where the contents of the sq.txt is:

"hello"
"please"

save in notepad as text unicode format. When I launch a monitoring session all I  see for A$ and B$ is blank data. The Java Console says that the file was read.

I=incomm(1)
if I=-1

print #1 "<read sq.txt>"
A$=input$(1)
B$=input$(1)

print #1 "</>"
endif

You technical support is awesome.

is it possible with a print command in the t100md+ to trigger a batch file execution on a laptop running the tl server 3 directly connected to com port on the plc?

Technical support / Smtp text mail
« on: January 23, 2010, 08:59:21 AM »
My smtp e-mail had been working for quite some time on my md100md+. Now I am getting a message back from my road runner smtp server saying the outbound e-mail is refused  no from/sender header [r0111001]. how do I adjust my text string? I just have the following:
PRINT #1 "<EMAIL 813431zzzz@vtext.com>"
PRINT #1 "Sender: kzzzzzz@tampabay.rr.com"
PRINT #1 "Subject: system in alarm "
where the z's have been insert  anonymity.

Technical support / Lost comm after program load T100MD+
« on: August 09, 2008, 06:30:44 PM »
I downloaded a program to the plc and after resetting the the plc the run error and pause light are now flashing red and I am unable to communicate with the plc. I suspect  that some cust functions that I redid to increment the two pwm outputs upwards may have caused some sort of overflow errors. Please advise

Technical support / Hooked up power to the wrong connector
« on: November 30, 2007, 11:18:12 PM »
I inadvertently hooked up +24vdc to the rs485 terminals on a t100md. Needless to say the plc no longer communicates (tried *IR no response) and the PLC is no longer running the program it was loaded with. Can  I replace some ICs and/or components to resurrect it or is it permanently damaged?

Technical support / plcmon.jar library file

Hello
I own 3 of the MD100 plc's and would like to get your plcmon.jar api library file to develop another web  based interface. Where can I download it?

Technical support / Schematics for Repair Purposes
« on: June 17, 2004, 11:51:31 AM »
A few times in the past we have had shorts on the outputs which led to failure of the board which were easily repaired by replacing the ULC2803 IC. However this last time we had a failure that did more damage than can be repaired by simply replacing this IC. Is possible to obtain a schematic of the output stage of the md888? The processor still works.

ps the shorts were caused by incorrect hookup of a wiring harness on a terminal strip with poor accessiblity.

Technical support / Can no longer set PLC's Time from TriLogi 5.12
« on: May 25, 2003, 06:41:14 PM »
Anyone
I was running the Trilogi web server 2.0 and was able to set the time on a T100MD888 using both the trilogi application and java applet. Now I cannot set the time through either approach. Anyone have ideas as to what may be wrong? However I still can set the time with the DOS application. I tried re-installing the Trilogi app and server but to no avail.

Technical support / Sanyo Security Serial Protocol SSP
« on: June 05, 2003, 03:15:34 PM »
I am replacing a 25 pushbutton operator's station that controls both a time lapse VCR and a digital multiplexer tied to 4 cameras. The pushbuttons currently switch in  a resistive ladder network  to contol the VCR and the mux. Originally I was going to use an md888 to switch in the correct ohm value,  but I discovered tha both devices thru rs485 ports support a Sanyo Protocol called Security Serial Protocol. I have the command set from the Sanyo manuals and would like to use the plc to issue the command sequences both don't have any solid ideas about how this proprietary protocol and the command set interrelate.  Any ideas? Where can I find some material about rolling in a protocol to the plc?

I also thought about a 0-20 ma signal to fool the analog ports of the two boxes but the plc output doesnt have enough resolution
thanks

Technical support / logging date and time of an input contact
« on: June 19, 2003, 05:29:14 PM »
Do you have any suggestions of how to log the date and time in the DM[n] array of when a input closes? I tried several approaches and must have something wrong because it bongs out every time I try to load the program into the plc. I need to log about 700 such entries on a 7 day basis and then reset at the end of the week.

Technical support / Power Supply limits to the T1100MD
« on: November 05, 2003, 11:23:25 AM »
I have two nominally 12vdc wheelchair batteries connected in series that charge up to 15 volts each to power up a dc motor. I am using a separate 24 dc supply to power the plc controlling the motor speed thru PWM. Can I use the 30vdc motor supply to power the plc and eliminate separate 24vdc power supply?

2. Also I am using the  2nd pwm circuit on the plc to control the charging current to the batteries from an external battery charger which would mean that during charging, if I eliminated the separate supply to the plc, the plc would see  the charging  pulses going to batteries with a peak value around 35VDC.
Thanks

Technical support / EEPROM Program Memory
« on: November 23, 2003, 05:17:24 AM »
Hola
Some types of memory have a limitation on the number of times they can be overwritten. Is there a limitation on the number of times the md100 program memory can be over written? If so what it is it and can replacement be purchased if the limit has been exceed?
