Title: HMI interface Automation Direct C-more
Post by: cch1955 on May 04, 2010, 02:00:41 PM
Has anyone use the Automation Direct HMI with a TRI product? Here is a link to a unit I am considering

I have used the 888 with a c-more micro, using modbus RS485.

Works ok.

Good to know. I would judge from your response that the effort did not produce stellar results. Have you used the MD-HMI of Tri? did you find the C-More any easier to impliment or able to provide improved usability? In the work I have done with the MD-HMI I find that I wish that it had a few more support routines to reduce the coding effort for small projects.
Thanks

I used the MD with the c-more micro only. It works excellent, all the functions provided with the HMI applied since, the HMI is the master and change/display the values on the PLC.
The programming on the PLC will be the same.

I'm currently using C-More Micro HMI's with a T100MD2424+.  I havent seen any problems yet and we are using them on 12 different machines.  I've seen some issues with the PLC's but nothing that is related to the combination of the HMI and PLC.  I'm using about every function that is available on the HMI.
