Title: WinXP
Post by: Aya Brea on April 10, 2002, 10:30:16 PM
Hi there,
I recently downloaded Ver 5 Trilogi program. The OS I'm using is WinXP... when I transfered the program to the plc, it seems there's some error in it.
Is ver 5 compatible with WinXP... what do you suggest? Thanks!

We inquire from other users but so far nobody reports any problem with XP. With have already sent you an email asking for more details but we have not received any reply to that matter.

I too am having some problems with TriLogi 5.0 in XP and ME. Specifically, I get a run time error "Illegal Memory Access", with the following statement:

IF F>5000 SETIO FFPUMP_EN
ENDIF

I also had a strange problem with Syntax errors on another If-Then-Else statement during compiling which seemed to be random and is hard to explain. I just deleted it and rewrote it, and it worked fine then. I am now moving these to TriLogi 4.1 and will see if I get the same problems.

If you could, please email your program to support@tri-plc.com so that we can check. Although we have not done extensive testing with Windows XP, there should not be any problem with Windows ME since the Win98/ME  platform has been the used extensively for the Internet TRiLOGI software development. Note that when a syntax error occur sometime the error tracking pointer may not be located at the exact spot where the offending statement occurs because the compiler may only realize that there is a problem after compiling a couple of lines.

However, we do want to take any report seriously and would appreciate if you could isolate the problem so that we can determine if it is an actual situation that need to be fixed.
