Title: Wireless Connectivity
Post by: George Whitworth on May 20, 2003, 07:19:07 AM
Any suggestions for wireless connectivity.
We are considering the use an M-series PLC to monitor the parameters (water level, rotor speed, etc) of a pump against a time base.
The pump has electricity but no telephone line.
We would prefer wireless LAN solution to GSM WAN
The pump is approx 1 mile line of sight.
Thx

Key Telemetering Products produces a low cost radio modem that may be well suited for your application.  This is a 900 MHz spread spectrum unit available in sevral configurations.

We have tested KeyTelemetering's radio modems before and found them compatible with our PLC's RS232 port.
