« on: November 01, 2011, 12:57:33 AM »
i am using E10 npn+ plc.

all outputs of PLC goes high as we power ON the PLC. all 4 indicators of output keeps high even if we download the blank program.

weather outputs are damaged due to some reason?
if yes can we do it by changing IC? which one should be used ?

i am using E10 npn plc.

I am not getting able to download program. Using trilogy 3.5 softwar.
PLC id is not detected.
i am using straight connection cable for program transfer.
Getting message window "No Response From PLC"

I have already checked following things :
1)Using 9 pin D sub connector cable with straight connection
2) cable continuity for all pins (1 to 8) is ok. Pin 9 is not
    showing continuity.
3)Serial port setting standard (baud rate 9600, data bits 8,
stop bit 1, parity none etc)
4) PLC is getting power ON and previous program lodaded in
plc (2 days ago) is working fine. Hence all IOs are
    functioning OK.

outputs of controller goes ON. All 4 output LEDs are 'ON' when we power on the board.  They remain ON continuously irrespective of program condition.
There is no program condition to ON the output on power ON. These LEDs remain ON even if i OFF and ON the system.

We are using T22H plc in our system.
wiring is done as per mentioned in manual.

when we power up our plc panel first time and provide input to plc, output 1,2,3,4

goes high immediately.
Now these outputs are continuously high.
we power off the whole system and power ON again but these outputs turned ON on

power ON itself, which should not happen.
Also, it does not show these outputs ON in online monitoring mode.

i am using t100 md 1616 controller for my system.

i have connected bar code scanner to serial port com1 and read the bar code data

through that port and operate some i/o logic depending on bar code i receive.
plc id is 01.

now,i connect a pc to com3 i.e 485 communication port.
i want to read the status of controller IO on PC .
i am using auto turn around type rs 232-485 converter to connect pc to 485 port of controller.cable used is 2 core shielded cable. cable length between pc and plc is 40 meters.

but i can execute only "IR*" command & for any other command i get message "No response from plc"
i tried with RI command in following format
  "RI01*" it does not work.
i tried with another format
"@01RI0100*" but this is also not working.
no other command is working through 485 port other than IR*
communication baud rate set is 38400.
also, when i start TL server + TRilogi software and click on "Detect ID" button

in Controller -> select controller menu, then it detects the id properly as 01, but when i click on connect, it fails.

Since it is executing IR* command and shows plc id, i think converter unit should be ok.

Technical support / how to check cable
« on: November 07, 2008, 09:54:03 PM »
i am using E10 relay PLC for a small application.

I have got a programming cable for E10 PLC which i am using from last 1 year.

But now, i could not communicate with PLC using that cable.

I could not transfer the program nor i can detect the PLC.

I am not sure weather cable is damaged or what.

How to check / test the cable, weather it is ok or not OK. I checked out on 2

different PLCs but it doesent work.

I do not have any more PLC with me to ckeck up.

how should be the cable between PC serial port and DB9 connector of Auto 485?

ok. i tried out but still there is problem.

is it required to connect a termination resistor when i connect single E10 relay plc to PC through 485 ?

PC to 485 cable which i have prepared is cross cable i.e. 2-3, 3-2, 5-5.

no. we did not change the jumper position.

Which jumper we need to change ?

this info is not available in Installation Guide.

in instalation guide it is mentioned that - 485 port is automatically enabled when opto 232 adapter is unplugged from 10pin PTA box header.

any way, pl let me know which jumper we need to change.

we are usign E10 relay plc.

we r using E10 PLC for a small application.

our user needs to monitor the status of all IOs, on PC, and change a timer value in program written in the controller frequently through PC.

We have provided a PC with VB software. Distance between PC and plc is 30 meters.

Hence we r trying to connct PC serial port to 485 port of controller through auto 485. But, we did not get any response from plc when we execute host link commands.

We have tried with 2 baud rates 9600 and 38400 but it did not work.

We also tried using trilogy 3.5 and with VB sample software provided.

But, it works if we use a programing cable with PC serial port.

Is it possible to do 1 to 1 communication (PC and plc) on 485 port for E10?

Technical support / PLC Timer
« on: August 15, 2007, 06:50:17 AM »
i have E10 relay plc.
in application, we need to change the timer value in plc very frequently.
we need to provide a pc based interface to user to set timer value.
my question is, if user changes the timer value from PC (we will use command response format and Visual basic software), and if he switch off and on the power supply of plc, weather plc will maintain the value sent by PC before power off ?
i.e. weather timer values are retentive in E10 PLCs?

Technical support / EPROM Manager
« on: August 15, 2007, 06:38:58 AM »
i have got T100MD 2424 PLC which is having EPROM manager.
String EPROM buffer add is shown as 1-87
i.e i can store max 87 strings in string EEPROM buffer.

how much maximum string memory can be available in M series PLCs.
can we have a plc with memory more than 87 strings.
how much would be maximum memory available?

i have an application in which we need to store 1428 strings each of 12 byte.
is it possible in M series plc?
if not max. how much strings we would be able to store?
