Title: COMM3 LED useful for diagnostics?

Can anyone tell me if the COMM3 LED has some useful diagnostic purpose?  I have a system that has always funtioned and has two slaves connected to a single MD2424 processor.

There isn't any COMM3 LED in T100MD2424+. Are you referring to the 3 status LEDs?
