Title: AC I/O
Post by: Zelphia on October 30, 2006, 03:31:25 AM
I would like to build a zone controller for my boiler using the T100MD888+.  It has the right number but the wrong kind of I/O.  The entire system is 24VAC.  Is the EXP1616R my best solution for reading 24VAC inputs and controlling 24VAC devices?

thanks

You could use external relays.

If you need 8 relay outputs and 8 relay inputs (to convert the AC signal to DC to the T100MD888+) , then you have to check if the cost of buy 16 external relays plus the wiring is worthwhile compared to the EXP1616R price of $160.00. EXP1616R gives you 16 relay outputs and 16 AC inputs directly.
