Field Bus Communication

Hi all,

        i just want to know, why we use terminating resister in a field bus network like Profibus, CANbus. do same thing is required in Modbus+ ?

To understand that you need to learn something about transmission line theory. It is related to long transmission line reflection. Nothing to do with the protocol.
