Serial No. Problem

I have borrowed the RS Logix 5 software from a friend. The problem is that the serial number he has given to me will not work. My friend already has the software installed on his computer. Is the serial number only for one computer, or for a one time use? If not, then how can I get the serial number working or how can I get a working serial number?

The latest version we have here at our mill has a back door that will alow you to enter in all 1's , but that may be  because of the Corporate Site license agreement. Wont hurt to try!..............
