The server only allows the client to open files in the specific user directory who has logged-in. You can't use the client software to reach any other parts of the PC's harddisk. TLServer does not permit FTP or Telnet and is generally safer than standard web server software because it does not allow user to do a whole bunch of files related operations on the PC.
The TLServer allows you to set the access level for certain users to restrict their ability to modify the system. "Visitor" can only view the data and cannot affect it. "User" can view and modify data but cannot transfer program to it. "Programmer" has full access to the PLC.
