Nano-10 to FMD88-10 Upgrade Question
« on: January 14, 2014, 09:34:18 PM »
I am working on a project with a Nano-10, and have realized more I/O would open up a lot of possibilities with it.
I'd like to make the move up to an FMD88-10.
My question is - Is the FMD capable of the same instructions as the Nano? Most importantly, the STATUS(21) command?

Hello Taranabas,

I'm currently using an FMD88-10 and I'm using the STATUS(21) function to calculate the ladder loop average and it's working well.

Regards.

Nano-10 and FMD PLC use identical CPU and as long as they are the same firmware version most of the function will behave identically. Nano-10 special I/Os and FMD are mapped slightly differently and that is the main difference between the two models.
