Different than documentation FMD1616-10
« on: May 22, 2012, 11:14:08 AM »
I have a FMD1616-10. The manual shows the common for the outputs as pin 9 of the output connector. The boards I have only have 8 points on the output connector.

I assume that the common is now tied to 0VDC on the board and has been removed from the connector. Am I correct in this?

If I am correct, it would be good to update the documentation to reduce confusion.

The graphics in Figure 1.1. showed a GND pin after pin 8 on the output side which is incorrect.  The lower output current on the FMD88-10 does not require dedicated ground return so the current sunk by the outputs will return to the power supply via the 0V power terminal.

An update to the manual has been in the work which has already corrected that error but we have yet to complete the new manual. We will upload the new manual as soon as it is completed.

We have updated the User's Manual of Nano-10, FMD and F-series PLCs. Figure 1.1 of FMD88-10 and FMD1616-10 have been revised to remove the non-existence COM pin on the output screw terminal strip.

Two new chapters are added to each manual to include the new features as follow:

1) Extended File System
2) Modbus/TCP-to-Modbus RTU gateway capability.
