Maple-systems HMI via Modbus
« on: February 17, 2003, 08:44:49 PM »
Hi, i am trying to connect a Maple-systems HMI550C to T100MD+ via Modbus (modicon).
The baud rate of the SCADA  has also been set to the plc default of 38400 (8,1,n). As stated in the plc manual, the starting address of the input in modbus mode is 40001.1 but when i used this address in the device address range of my bit indicater object created in the SCADA, i have the following compile error
" PLC address is not in the right limitation "

May i know how do i solve this problem?
Thanks in advance...

You may like to check with Maple Systems support people regarding how to address individual bits in the holding registers 40001. In National Instrument Lookout they are expressed as 400001.1 to 400001.16 ?for sixteen bits of the holding register 40001.
Different PLC manufacturer may have different way of naming it. We know some users who have used Maple System with M-series PLC successfully. However, we haven't tested them ourselves so we need you to find out from the Maple System support team regarding this issue.
