Pulse and direction
« on: August 28, 2010, 10:45:03 PM »
Hi. After trying out MD888 for so long, I would say it's a good product. However, there's something I do not understand. If the stepper motor driver is controlled by pulse and direction signals, what determines the speed of the rotation? The pulse frequency?

Thank you.

Regards

STEPSPEED command defines the acceleration and maximum number of steppers that the stepper motor should turn after the initial acceleration.

Note that  max pps is only a "desired" speed on T100MD+ PLC and not the ultimate speed. However, on the F-series and Nano-10 PLC the max pps can be accurately output by the stepper motor controller/driver.
