Time for one pass through ladder
« on: January 07, 2009, 06:35:23 PM »
What is the method for determining the time it takes for one pass through the ladder. I remember seeing this on the forum probably 2 years ago, but my search couldn't find it. I think it was to activate a timer at the bottom of the ladder, then next pass read it at the same point in the ladder, saving the value as in a DM[] which gets incremented each pass.

PS: like the old format to the forum :)

To determine the scan time you can construct a circuit as follow:
       OUT1       OUT1
|-----|/|--------(OUT)

OUT1 output will produce a square wave and the scan time is half the period of the square wave.
