read weather data from web

I am building a heating control system using the T100MD PLC, and need to read the weather forecast from a (BBC) rss weather feed. While I understand that one way would be to read the feed into a PC, and pass the stripped data to the PLC. However, for increased reliability I was wondering if it would be feasible to use an X-server to read the data from the web directly and use text manipulatiion on the PLc to extract the relevant data. Any tips appreciated.

Unfortunately the current generation of XServer does not have the ability to connect to another server that is not a TLServer or XServer so that is not possible to use XServer to connect directly to the weather website to read the weather data. However, if you have installed an XServer on a PLC then it is possible to use any PC that has the data to open a connection to the XServer and write the data into the PLC. That is, the weather data is being "pushed" into the PLC and not pulled by the PLC directly from the weather website.
